How to Replace and Install the Beko Rocket-Type Refrigerator Filter
The internal filter of Beko side-by-side refrigerators, with a cylindrical (rocket) design, filters the incoming water directly. To fit this part correctly and prevent leaks, follow these steps:
- First, close the water valve connected to the appliance. To release the water and air under pressure in the pipes, press the dispenser paddle for a few seconds.
- Hold the worn filter, turn it 90 degrees to the left (counter-clockwise) to release it from the latch, and gently pull it out.
- Remove the cover from the nozzle of the fresh filter. Push it inward in line with the grooves of the holder base, and turn it to the right (clockwise) until it is fully tight and latched.
- Open the water supply valve again. To clear the line of activated carbon powder and fully purge the system, be sure to dispense and discard about 4 to 5 liters of water from the dispenser.
Resetting the filter warning: when installation is complete, touch the Auto Eco or Filter Reset button (depending on the model) on the Beko refrigerator display for 3 seconds so the replacement alarm turns off and the timer resets.
