Each product is presented in the catalog with its specifications and model. To be sure of the model and compatibility, send our specialists the code on your previous filter or your appliance model.
Refrigerator Filters
Usually every 6 months or after the filter’s rated capacity has been used (for example about 500 to 800 gallons). If the water flow drops, the ice turns cloudy or the taste and smell of the water change, replace it sooner.
The appliance model or old filter code (such as DA29-00020B or LT700P) is printed on the filter itself or on the label inside the refrigerator. Use that code to find the compatible product in the Refrigerator Filters category, or ask our specialists.
After installation, dispense about 3 to 5 liters of water (about 5 minutes) from the dispenser to purge the air in the line and the carbon particles. For the first few uses the water may be slightly cloudy or bubbly, which is normal.
An internal filter is installed inside the refrigerator compartment, while an external filter sits on the water line at the back of the refrigerator. The right type depends on your refrigerator’s design and is stated in each product’s description.
A saturated filter no longer filters the water, the flow drops, and sediment and contamination reach the solenoid valve and ice maker. Timely replacement keeps water and ice tasting good and reduces part failures.
Washing Machines and Dishwashers
This filter is installed on the water inlet and reduces salts and sediment particles so the heating element and internal parts build up less scale, and energy and detergent use also drop.
Usually not. The filter goes between the inlet hose and the tap and is installed by tightening the thread. The water flow direction must match the arrow on the body.
Depending on water hardness, usually once every 1 to 3 months in an empty wash (without clothes) at the temperature recommended on the pack. Each product’s instructions are on its page.
For each appliance, a product made for that appliance (such as an espresso machine or kettle descaler) is presented in the Descalers category. Do not use the washing machine product for other appliances.
Showers, Pitchers and Water Purifiers
A shower filter with KDF55 media reduces some of the free chlorine and heavy metals in the water. The result is less chlorine smell and less dryness of skin and hair, and it is gentler on sensitive skin.
It is installed between the shower pipe (on the wall) and the shower head and needs no wrench. The KDF55 filter has a capacity of about 16,000 liters, which usually lasts several months depending on use.
Usually every 4 to 6 weeks or after filtering about 150 liters of water. In high-consumption households, replace it sooner to keep the water quality.
Usually every 6 to 12 months, depending on the incoming water quality and use. The sediment filter saturates earlier than the carbon filter and should be checked more often.
