Bosch External Filter Installation Guide
The Bosch external (Inline) filter, with 1/4-inch fittings, is used on the inlet hose of various Bosch side-by-side and French-door refrigerators. To replace and install this part properly, follow the steps below:
- Close the water inlet valve and release the system pressure by pressing the dispenser paddle for a few seconds.
- Position the filter at the back of the refrigerator. Be sure to follow the direction of the FLOW arrow on the body (the water flow from the supply toward the refrigerator).
- Connect the inlet hose, place the outlet in a container and open the water to let it run for 30 seconds so the initial black carbon is flushed out; then connect the hose leading to the refrigerator.
Note: cut the end of the hose perfectly straight with a cutter, and after installation check the connections for leaks.
