Description
The LG rocket-type side-by-side refrigerator filter LT700P is an internal model with compressed carbon media used to filter the water of this brand’s side-by-side refrigerators. This filter helps reduce chlorine and some organic compounds in the water and is used for the water supplied to the dispenser and ice maker.

The LG LT700P side-by-side refrigerator filter (code ADQ36006101) has a standard construction that reduces water contaminants and helps keep the appliance’s water system and solenoid valve working efficiently. With effective adsorption technology it improves the cleanliness and purity of the output water and is suitable for LG side-by-side refrigerator-freezers.
- Filtration capacity: 200 gallons (nearly 1,500 liters) of drinking water
- Dimensions: 17.5 cm long and 5 cm in diameter (short, cylindrical design)
- Approximate weight: about 200 g

How to Replace the LG Rocket-Type Filter
The LG LT700P internal filter (technical ID ADQ36006101) is one of the most widely used horizontal rocket-type filters and is located in the ceiling of the internal compartment of LG side-by-side refrigerators. Replacing this model is very simple thanks to its push-button cover, and is done as follows:
- Close the water inlet valve to the refrigerator and press the dispenser paddle for a few seconds to relieve circuit pressure.
- Press the button or latch on the ceiling frame (usually marked Push) so the hinged door of the filter compartment opens downward.
- Turn the old LT700P filter a quarter turn (90 degrees) to the left (counter-clockwise) to release its lock, then pull it straight out.
- Remove the hygienic cover from the nozzle of the new filter, insert it horizontally into the housing and turn it 90 degrees to the right (clockwise) until it is firmly in place. Finally, push the compartment door upward until it latches.
- Open the water inlet valve and dispense about 8 to 10 liters (roughly 2 to 3 gallons) of water from the dispenser paddle so the circuit is fully purged of air and the initial carbon particles are completely flushed out.
Resetting the filter warning light: when you are done, hold the Filter Reset or Water Filter button on the LG refrigerator’s settings panel for 3 seconds so the filter timer resets and the warning light turns off.
