How to Replace and Install the LG Rocket-Type Filter
This filter model is usually located in the upper part (ceiling) of the internal compartment and is replaced with a simple push and twist.
Important note after replacement: after changing the LT800P filter, be sure to dispense and discard about 3 to 5 liters of water from the dispenser so the circuit is fully purged of air and the initial carbon particles are completely flushed out.
Risks of not replacing the filter: using a water filter for more than a year leads to the build-up of bacteria and sediment and a sharp drop in water pressure. This not only lowers water quality and can cause algae growth inside the circuit, but also puts extra strain on the refrigerator’s solenoid valve, which may burn out and lead to costly repairs.
